About Me

Hi, I’m Jemma White, and I live in the coastal town of Bangor, Co. Down. I’m a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist, offering sessions to both adults and children, helping people navigate challenges and create meaningful, lasting change.

The Journey to “Hello Positivity”

Before I became a hypnotherapist, I started Hello Positivity as a blog—a space for myself to process life’s ups and downs. While I’m naturally a positive person, I’ve faced my fair share of challenges. Back then, I would turn to the internet, searching for quotes or words that resonated with me. This small act helped me process what I was going through, and I realized that others might find comfort in those moments of reflection too.

Hello Positivity isn’t about toxic positivity. Life can be tough, and it’s okay to sit in that space when things feel rubbish. But I’ve also learned how finding even the smallest glimmers of positivity can mark a shift in perspective. That’s what I aim to share with my clients—a realistic, supportive approach to building resilience and well-being. This same philosophy of embracing small shifts in perspective is the foundation of my work as a hypnotherapist.

Even as a therapist, life still throws challenges my way. But the tools I’ve gained from this work help me manage those moments so I don’t stay stuck for as long or fall as far. This is what I hope to pass on to you—a way to navigate life’s challenges with more ease, strength, and confidence.

A Bit More About Me

I love life, and I try to bring fun and warmth to everything I do. Whether it’s hyping up my clients, encouraging a friend, or simply celebrating life’s little wins, being someone’s cheerleader brings me so much joy. I’m passionate about supporting people as they discover their strengths and move toward their goals.

My Background

In 2017, I completed my MSc in Counselling and Therapeutic Communication from the University of Ulster. Later, I trained at the Clifton Practice Belfast, earning a Diploma in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy—a gold standard in hypnotherapy training. Along the way, I’ve also worked in the mental health charity sector, volunteered with the Samaritans, and trained as a mindfulness practitioner for children and a safeTALK facilitator.

My training and experience in both counseling and hypnotherapy enable me to offer a comprehensive, holistic approach to support clients in achieving their goals. Through it all, I’ve seen how life’s struggles can be transformed with the right support and tools. My approach is all about creating a safe, encouraging, and relaxed space where we can work together to explore your goals and make meaningful progress.

The most rewarding part of my work is being part of my clients’ journeys—walking alongside them as they explore their goals and grow into their full potential. You are the expert in your own life; my role is simply to provide tools and support to help you navigate the path ahead.

If you’re ready to take the next step toward positive change, I’d love to hear from you and explore how we can work together. Feel free to Get in touch
